All-night bus services run on a small number of routes linking North East England’s main cities. These are detailed below.

On Saturday nights and early Sunday mornings.
Hadrian Park - Newcastle - Leam Lane - Heworth
Go North East run an hourly Night Bus, service N58 right through the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The hourly service will follow the daytime route: Hadrian Park – Battle Hill Drive – High Farm – Coast Road – Newcastle City Centre – Gateshead – Deckham – Felling Square – Leam Lane Estate – Heworth.

N20 Durham City Circular
Saturday and Sunday mornings hourly from 12.05am to 4.05am,
Durham North Road, Gilesgate Moor, Belmont, Carville.
N21 Newcastle - Chester-le-Street - Durham
Hourly from Newcastle 12.15am to 4.15am
Hourly from Chester le Street 23.45pm to 3.45am
Monument-Gateshead-Harlow Green-Birtley-Chester le Street every night.
The N21 offers an extened hourly service on Saturday and Sunday mornings between Durham and Newcastle.
Departure times from Newcastle are the same as Monday to Friday but between 12.15am and 3.15am buses continue into Durham. The 4.15am bus from Newcastle will terminate at Chester le Street.
From Durham, buses run hourly into Newcastle from 00.30am until 3.30am.
N56 Newcastle - Sunderland
Sunday mornings only hourly 00.15am to 3.15am, both directions

N97 Newcastle - Whickham
Sunday mornings only hourly 00.06am to 03.06am
