A special bus service - the QuayLink - can take you to most of the main attractions and destinations in NewcastleGateshead so whether you live, work or study in the area or are just visiting, QuayLink is perfect for connecting you with where you want to be! The buses run frequently, from early until late, seven days a week.
There are two QuayLink routes:
- Q1 serves Central Station, Monument, the Quayside, The Sage Gateshead, Gateshead College's Baltic Campus, BALTIC and Gateshead Interchange
- Q2 serves Haymarket, Monument, the Quayside, Ouseburn Valley and on to St Peter's Basin
Both services travel between Newcastle Quayside and Monument via Dean Street and Grey Street.
- Single - £1.30
- All day ticket - £2.10
- Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) - £5.25
- All week ticket - £8.40
Other tickets & passes
If you have a Concessionary Travel Pass you can travel for free after 9.30am on weekdays and all day on weekends and bank holidays. Children with an Under 16 Pop card travel for 60p single or buy a Child All-day Ticket (CAT) and travel all day on all public transport in Tyne and Wear for £1.10. Children without an Under 16 Card travel for 80p single.
Network One Travel Tickets including zone one and MetroSaver season tickets including zone A are also valid on QuayLink.
If your journey includes other Go North East services, you can buy or use a Buzzfare or Get Around ticket (for schoolchildren and students).
If you’re using Metro before or after your QuayLink journey, buy a Transfare. Or buy a Day Rover ticket for all day travel on all public transport in Tyne and Wear. Explorer and PlusBus tickets are also accepted.
