So, if you're looking for...
- a corporate hospitality event to really stand out from all the other events your guests attend
- somewhere to hold your works night out that will have everyone talking long after its over
- a fun and memorable celebration with family and friends
- a unique sports society fund-raising party
… and you don’t want to book another hotel function room, why not try something really different!
Could you raise even more than £2,000 in one evening?!

You may be aware that many local charities hire the Shields Ferry for their fundraising events. But did you know that we offer charities and other fundraising organisations special rates? Or the kind of amounts that can be raised in one evening? With a combination of ticket prices, bar sales and on-board raffles etc, you could give your charity’s bank balance quite a boost.
A couple of charities who’ve had events on the ferry recently have been kind enough to provide testimonials:
Without a doubt we have found the hire of the ferry over a number of years to be a very good way of fundraising. What better than a trip down river with bar, buffet and disco. It appeals to all ages. There is something about a trip on the river that everyone seems to enjoy. The opening of the Millennium Bridge before arriving at the Quayside is quite spectacular.
Walter Brydon, Newcastle Police Aid to Romanian Children
I wanted to let you know that our event went really well. Almost £5,000 has been raised! I am pleased to say that I can see this type of event being part of our fundraising calendar twice a year.
Marie Watson, Fundraising Manager, St Clare’s Hospice
