Planned works

13th September - Jarrow ramp closure

The ramp access at Jarrow station will be closed for maintenance from Monday 13 September until Friday 24 September. Access to the station during the closure will be available via the footbridge. If level access to the station is required please speak to a member of staff who will be present at the ramp entrance during the time of the closure.

2nd September - Jarrow footbridge closure

The footbridge at Jarrow station will be closed from 2 September until 10 September to allow for maintenance. During this time access to the station can be achieved via the station ramp.

16th August - Engineering work at night

Noisy night work that contributes to the maintenance of the Metro is to be carried out in your area. The work must be done at night between midnight and 5.30am, when the trains are not running and stations are not in use.

4th August - St James escalator work

The up escalator from platform 2 to concourse at St James will be taken out of service from 4 August for approximately ten days to allow for maintenance work. During the escalator closure the down escalator to platform 2 will be reversed to travel upwards.
