19th May - No trains Gateshead Stadium to Brockley Whins/Hebburn until 1230

On Sunday 19 May, to allow for modernisation work. A frequent bus replacement service will be running Gateshead to Hebburn and Gateshead to Brockley Whins. Trains may not run to the usual timetable. Please allow extra time for your journey.

20th May - Benton staircase closure

The staircases of the footbridge will be closed for five days starting Monday 20 May, to allow for maintenance. During the closure the station lifts and the footbridge landing will remain open. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

Guidance on access between platforms

26th May - No trains Gateshead Stadium to Hebburn/Brockley Whins until 1230

29th May - West Jesmond footbridge early evening closure

The footbridge will close at 8pm on Wednesday 29, Thursday 30 and Friday 31 May to allow for resurfacing work. The bridge will reopen each morning. Customers who require step free access between platforms are advised to travel to either Jesmond or South Gosforth, change platforms and return to West Jesmond/continue their journey.

1st June - West Jesmond early evening platform 2 ramp closure

The ramp from street level to platform 2 will be closed at 8pm on Saturday 1 June to allow for resurfacing work. Customers requiring step free access to and from platform 2 are advised to speak to a member of staff at the station. The ramp will reopen on Sunday morning.
