Nexus and Go North are making some changes to services they provide in Sunderland.

In many cases bus services will be provided by a new operator after 29 May, but on the same route and at the same or similar times.

Durham County Council is reducing the number of bus routes it pays for, and where that affects services the cross into the Sunderland area Nexus has responded to make sure people don't lose local links.

Click on the document below to see a summary of changes to routes Nexus pays for using funding from local councils. This affects routes: 8, 36A/36C, 37, 38, 39, 71, 73, 77, 79, 100, 168, 593, W68.

Go North East is also making changes and you can find out about these here. This includes routes 2A, 2C, 35, 50, 71, H1, M2 and M3.

There are also new routes X36 and X37 between Hetton, Houghton and Sunderland.

There will be a delay of up to three weeks posting new timetables at some bus stops in Sunderland after 29 May. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
