Tyne and Wear Metro is encouraging families to get out and about during the February half term to explore the wealth of attractions across the region.

Metro’s handy map highlights the vast range of options available to keep children entertained in the school holidays, which take place from 18 – 26 February.

A number of popular North East attractions have also teamed up with Metro to offer passengers exclusive deals during the week with everything from free child entry at Seven Stories to discounted heritage train rides at the Stephenson Railway Museum on offer.

To make the most of these fantastic savings and offers, all Metro customers have to do is mention the Tyne and Wear Metro discount when booking and show a Metro ticket or Pop card, valid for travel on the same day, when you arrive at each of the locations. Click here for more info.

Paul Walker, Customer Service Director at DB Regio Tyne and Wear, which operates the Metro on behalf of Nexus, said: “We’re lucky enough to live in an area which boasts a range of attractions to suit any family’s needs. Metro provides the ideal way to explore everything Tyne and Wear has to offer this half term and we hope this helpful map will make planning family activities this February half term that little bit easier.”
