Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal officially opened the redeveloped Haymarket Metro station in Newcastle at a ceremony on Monday March 29.
Nexus, which owns, manages and is modernising Metro, will be opening an extended 70-space free car park at Hebburn Metro station in South Tyneside this Friday, March 26.
Three new taxi-bus services will start running in South Tyneside from Monday, 19 April.
