Residents in South Tyneside are being given the chance to travel for free as an improved local bus network is launched.
Nexus is providing a new local taxi-bus service linking parts of Whickham to Metrocentre from Monday, 14 June.
Nexus is providing two new bus routes to fill gaps in the network caused by the withdrawal of commercial services to and from Doxford, Washington and Birtley.
