Hundreds of bus passengers at North Tyneside’s Cobalt Business Park have signed-up to the North East’s first fare free zone which allows them to travel between a number of operators, within the park zone, at no extra cost.
Public Transport workers have been hailed as the unsung heroes of the current winter weather gripping the region by the Chairman of the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority.
