Residents living in the Wood Green sheltered housing in Bill Quay, Gateshead, are rejoicing this week over the return of a vital bus service.
A range of improved bus links across South Tyneside is being introduced from Sunday (July 31) following consultation with passengers.
Bus users will be able to swap their usual seats for a free swim in one of the North East’s newest leisure centres over the summer holidays thanks to a local travel partnership.
