Nexus has installed 18 permanent CCTV cameras at selected bus shelters across Tyne and Wear to act as a reassurance to passengers and reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.
Nexus today unveiled plans to completely overhaul bus routes it pays for in Tyne and Wear, improving local links in the city and its suburbs.
Three footbridges over Metro lines are to be closed from Monday 15 March for short periods so maintenance work can be done.
