We've conducted research into what you think about Metro and thought we'd let you know some of the comments we got.
You felt that Metro is:
- Quicker
- Reliably timetabled
- Frequent and regular
- Liked the set journey times
Things you don't like about Metro:
- Expensive for short journeys
- Personal safety issues
- And the main reason why people don't use Metro is due to either convenience or the location of the stations
And here is what you told us you liked:
"It's quite hectic in the morning, first thing, so I prefer Metro, it's quicker, less stress"
"It's cheaper than paying for parking in the town"
"In the mornings I like to get the paper and sit and read the paper"
“There’s always one that comes more or less as soon as you get there. Much quicker than a bus and it’s right near to where I live.”
“If you miss the bus then you’re standing around for another half an hour whereas if you miss the Metro it’s only another few minutes.”
“It’s easier to travel by Metro, it’s quicker.”
“It’s cleaner on the Metro than it is on the buses.”
“I can get a bus that will drop us closer to my home but I’d still rather get the Metro – it just seems a lot more quicker and easier.”
“I’ve been taking it for years and obviously buses can take all different routes but the stops have always stayed the same since I was a kid on the Metro.”

“... it probably is cheaper when you take into account the petrol and road tax, especially with petrol being so expensive at the moment.”
