Improving bus travel in Tyne and Wear
Nexus and the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority believes that new bus priority schemes can benefit the local economy. These include ideas such as divided bus lanes and junction improvements to make bus journey times shorter and more reliable. Park and ride chemes linking into these have the potential to attracte more car users to sustianable transport. We are evaluating proposals for schemes prior to making a bid to Government for capital funding.
