Go Smarter is a programme of schemes in Tyne and Wear aimed at encouraging more people to choose sustainable transport, helping reduce congestion and meet environmental targets.
Nexus is a partner in Go Smarter alongside the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority, the five local councils in Tyne and Wear, Sustrans and Living Streets.
Our early projects, as part of Schools Go Smarter, are focussed on helping children find out about public transport as they transfer from primary to secondary school, including journey planning and trying out buses for the first time.
Go Smarter is funded by the Department for Transport through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.
