New Metro timetable from 9 December
New Metro timetable from 9 December, with additional Christmas services. The new timetable can be dowloaded from the timetable section of the website. Please note some trains will not run fully to the advertised timetable until after 5 January when the extra Christmas services end.
Christmas timetable from 1 December until 5 January
Extra services will run during the festive season (excluding 3 January when a normal weekday service will operate). Trains will not run to the advertised timetable, for full details use the Journey Planner or call Traveline on 0871 200 2233 (calls cost 10p per minute plus standard network rate).
Christmas Eve - Hourly service after 6pm (trains every 30 minutes through Newcastle city centre)
Christmas Day - No service
Boxing Day - Services begin around 9am and stop between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, station dependent. Click here for exact times for your station.
New Year's Eve - Extra services until 6pm, then a 30 minute service (trains every 15 minutes through Newcastle city centre) until approximately 11pm.
New Year's Day - No service
