For beautiful beaches, dramatic coastal scenery plus leisure and heritage attractions, hop on the circular Tourist Bus this summer and take advantage of the many fantastic cultural experiences in South Tyneside!
The open top bus starts by South Shields Metro station, then travels on to Arbeia Roman Fort, South Shields seafront, Marsden Rock and Souter Lighthouse before heading back inland to Temple Park Leisure Centre, Barbour Factory Shop, Bede's World, St Paul's Church and Monastic Site and finally The Customs House and market place.
The hourly service runs on every Saturday and Sunday in June; 5th, 11th and 12th July and then everyday from 18th July to 6th September.
Adult fares are just £2, or hop on and off all day for just £4. Buy a family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) for £9. Concessionary and child tickets are £1, or £1.50 for a day ticket. A commentary is included, and children receive a free Kids Club pack (sponsored by Haribo).
The service is operated by CitySightseeing, and supported by Nexus and South Tyneside Council.
