And now that Gateshead College has moved into its new Baltic Campus - students and staff will be able to use QuayLink's Q1 service. It drops you right outside the new building and connects you with Gateshead Interchange and Newcastle city centre.

The bright yellow electric buses run frequently, from early until late, 7 days a week.

There are two QuayLink routes:

  • Q1 serves Central Station, Monument, The Sage Gateshead, Gateshead College's Baltic Campus, BALTIC and Gateshead Interchange

  • Q2 serves Haymarket, Monument and travels along the Quayside to Ouseburn - and now continues into the Ouseburn Valley and on to St Peter's Basin -

Both services travel between Newcastle Quayside and Monument via Dean and Grey Street.

Current adult fares are -

Single - £1.00 (or £1.20 on Q2 if travelling beyond St Ann's/Mariner's Wharf)
HourRider - £1.30 - valid on both services for one hour
QuayRider - £1.60 - unlimited travel all day on both Q1 and Q2.
