Tyne Tours are one hour cruises on the Tyne which include a taped commentary, written and recorded by John Grundy (local historian and presenter of Tyne Tees TV's 'Grundy's Northern Pride). The ferry sails to the mouth of the Tyne, past North Shields Fish Quay and Tynemouth Castle and Priory and then on to Royal Quays and Jarrow Slakes before returning to South Shields. You’ll see the Customs House, the Scandinavian Ferry Terminal and other sites from the river’s industrial past and present. The 2009 season of Tyne Tours has now finished. Details of the summer 2010 season will appear here in spring 2010.
