Public get a chance to talk about transport.

Story added: Monday 20 November 2006
The public have the opportunity to discuss concerns about public transport in Tyne and Wear at an open day this Saturday (25 November).

The annual Public Transport Open Day takes place at the Pandon Room, Newcastle Civic Centre, from 9.30am to 12 noon.

The event is open to all and offers members of the public the chance to raise directly with operators and councillors who are members of the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Authority questions about current issues and future plans relating to public transport generally and local services specifically.

Staff from both Nexus and Metro will be attending, along with commercial bus and train operators serving the Tyne and Wear area.
