If you're 16 and under 19 on 1 September 08 and in full-time further education, you can apply for a Teen Travel ID card, which you can then show to be entitled to a Teen Travelticket. Teen Traveltickets are valid on most buses, Metro, the Sunderland-Blaydon rail line and the Shields Ferry. Students at FE colleges should take their enrolment or college ID card, plus a passport-sized photo to any Nexus TravelShop to get their Teen Travel ID card and Teen Travelticket. Students who are at school should ask there for an application form.
