They are valid at all times of the day for return journeys on the Metro and on the train between Newcastle and Sunderland. A return ticket is ideal if you need to make a return journey on the same day and is much cheaper than buying two single tickets. The price of a return ticket is reduced after 9.00am on weekdays and all day at weekends and public holidays.
