Single, return and day tickets are bought at the start of your journey, on the day you intend to travel. But most season tickets need to be bought beforehand. If your season ticket includes a photocard you'll need to visit a travelshop to buy your first one, and bring a passport-sized photo with you. Once you've got your photocard, you can continue to visit a travelshop to renew it or, there are some tickets you can renew directly online and over the phone through our ticket hotline. There are also several ticket agents (newsagents or travel agents) located around Tyne and Wear who renew season tickets too, giving you an even wider choice of where to go.
