Seaburn is a much-loved destination on the North East coast and is regularly visited by thousands of people every summer.  The Sunderland seaside resort is home to several bars and restaurants, with free live music, sea views and cuisine from all over the world.

The Beach

Admittedly this one is a bit obvious but you really can’t beat a proper bucket-and-spade day out. With golden sands and blue flag status, you can be sure of proper sand and no pebbles in sight. The water is  perfect for surfing and paddling while  Adventure Sunderland is the place to go if you want to try paddle boarding and kayaking. Nearby is the beach access pod, who hire out all-terrain wheelchairs for use on the sand.

The Stack

After paddling and sunbathing it’s important to stay refuelled and hydrated, so why not visit The Stack, with multiple street food options from Greek gyros to pizza. There is also an impressive soft drinks menu and a ice cream option located right at the front before entering the plaza. The open air style shipping container venue is great for an atmospheric social occasion which is lively all day and night.

Seldon Leisure Arcade

Who doesn’t love a good game of air hockey? Seldon’s is a family run business with all kinds of weird and wonderful games from traditional air hockey to rally driving simulators and everything in between. Perfect for the indoor entertainment if there is any rain ( yes, it can rain in Sunderland). It’s also a great place to grab a quick bite with a wide range of food and snacks on offer and of course the all-important ice cream!
