1. The Victoria Tunnel
The Victoria tunnel is an historic site located in the Ouseburn which stretches from the Town Moor to The River Tyne. It has a fascinating history and has been used as a coal wagon way and as an air raid shelter in the Second World War. A fun fact: the tunnel is a constant 12 degrees centigrade no matter what the weather is outside, so in both summer and winter it remains a constant steady temperature.
