Sunderland Park Lane bus station

Park Lane bus station, owned by Sunderland City Council (SCC), is a large open plan bus station located within the heart of the city centre.  Nexus manages the bus station on SCC's behalf.

The bus station provides an interchange with the Metro connections to Newcastle City Centre.  National Express, Megabus, National Holidays and other holiday coaches also use the station for departures and arrivals.

It also includes various retail outlets, including McColl's newsagent, Olive Garden coffee unit and a Gregg’s bakery.  Facilities within the station includes public toilets and telephones. The public toilets (managed by SCC) are free and open from 6.00am-7.00pm.

A 24 hour (staffed) taxi office can be found at the station and a taxi rank.  Seating is available at each bus stand and all are within a a small enclosed waiting area.
