Update (Fri 9 April):

Stagecoach 32/32A and Central Taxis 32A will revert back to normal route from Sunday 11 April.

Evening withdrawal of Stagecoach services 6, 7, X87 & X88 and Nexus (Gateshead Central Taxis) 32A in the Blakelaw Road/Cragston Avenue areas due to vandalism Friday 26 March 2021

From 7:30pm on Friday 26 March 2021 and every evening until further notice, it is with deep regret that Stagecoach North East advise that due to numerous acts of vandalism in the Blakelaw Road and Cragston Avenue areas where numerous bus windows have been broken, services 6, 7, X87 & X88 will regrettably have to omit this section of route every evening until further notice.  This decision will be reviewed after a period of operation of two weeks.

After 7:30pm, services X87/X88 will diverted via Ponteland Road in both directions and will serve all stops on the diversion. Services 6/7 will operate direct onto Kenton Lane, east/west to and from Etal Lane. Services will operate as normal at all other times.

Nexus evening service 32A trips (operated by Central Taxis) will also instead be omitting the affected area and operating via Ponteland Road after 7:30pm.

Stagecoach apologise for any inconvenience caused by this decision and would like to sincerely thank customers for their patience and understanding.  Customers are advised to please check back on this service update page and on the @StagecoachNE Twitter page at frequent intervals.
