We want to raise awareness of our Kids go free promise by inspiring family days out in Tyne and Wear. We really want to make life easy for families - helping them to save money whilst giving them inspiration for great days out at the many fantastic venues and destinations we have to offer in the region. Collaboration is key to the success of this and that's why we'd love to work with you. Whether it's making use of our campaign assets or collaborating on a blog post we can't wait to get started. 

The promise 

Up to three kids aged 11 and under can travel for free on Metro and the Shields Ferry, all day, every day when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. 

The fare-paying adult must be aged 18 or over and in possession of a valid ticket or validated smartcard. The accompanying children don’t need to have a ticket. 

How can you help spread the word? 

We have a range of assets that you can make use of on your marketing materials to tell people that they can travel to you by Metro and the best bit - kids go free. Just download them at the bottom of this page.
