Access to station

• A multi-level underground station in the centre of Gateshead below Gateshead Bus/Metro Interchange on West Street.
• Access to Metro station is via four entrances: one on West Street opposite Trinity Square; one within the bus interchange building itself; one on corner of Interchange at junction of West Street and High West Street opposite St. Joseph’s Church, and one within bus stands on Bensham Road side of interchange.
• There are no parking facilities.

Access to ticketing concourse

• West Street entrance has ramped access to Metro.
• A lift and escalator is provided between the bus concourse and Metro ticket concourse levels.
• The two remaining entrances are by stairs only.

Access between platforms

• Level access.
