- The station is situated at the junction of European Way and Woodbine Terrace with separate entrances to each platform.
- Pallion Retail Park is immediately adjacent.
- There are no parking facilities attached to the station.
Access to ticketing areas
- Ramp or stair access to Platform 1 for South Hylton from European Way. Ramp is to current accessibility gradient but is very long due to difference in height between road and station. Both ramp and stairs have dual height handrails.
- Ramp or stair access from Woodbine Terrace to Platform 2 for Sunderland city centre and fore Newcastle via Pelaw.
Access between platforms
- By external ramps and footpaths linking Woodbine Terrace and European Way.
