The lift on platform 1 at St. Peters is currently out of service. Customers requiring step free access are advised to travel onwards to Sunderland, then travel back to St. Peters platform 2. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Four Lane Ends car park lift is currently out of service. Customers requiring step free access are advised to park their cars on level 2. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

When we are running a good service the status will show as ‘No Metro disruptions’. Any delays (less than 15 minutes) to service will be announced via the station PA system and passenger information boards. If delays occur resulting in trains running more than 15 minutes later than advertised the status will be updated by an automatic travel alert system.

- Northumberland Car Park - partial closure

The ground floor level of the car park is open, all other levels are closed until further notice to allow for essential maintenance. On the ground floor there are 15 parking bays and 12 disabled bays.  Alternative parking is available at Four Lane Ends station. We're sorry for any inconvenience.



 


 

- No trains between Pelaw and South Hylton after about 10.28pm

On Saturday 11 December, no trains will run between Pelaw and South Hylton after about 10.28pm, to allow for Network Rail work.  The last train from Pelaw to South Hylton will be the 10.28pm and the last train from South Hylton to Regent Centre will be 11.07pm.

Trains will be running to all other stations but may not be to the usual timetable. More details are available in the Timetable changes section.  

A replacement bus service, number 901 will be running, calling at or close to all stations from Heworth to South Hylton.  The last three buses from South Hylton to Heworth will continue to Regent Centre.
