A train has been withdrawn from service at St James. Due to this we have a gap in the service of up to 15 mins to trains running between St James and South Gosforth. Please leave extra time for your journey if you're travelling in the area.

The doors between Airport station and Newcastle International Airport terminal are closed. Passengers can access/leave the station via the alternative doorway, located at the side of the station.

When we are running a good service the status will show as ‘No Metro disruptions’. Any delays (less than 15 minutes) to service will be announced via the station PA system and passenger information boards. If delays occur resulting in trains running more than 15 minutes later than advertised the status will be updated by an automatic travel alert system.

- No trains between Airport and Regent Centre

All day Saturday 22 May no trains will run in either direction between Airport and Regent Centre, to allow for over head power line work.  A replacement bus service, number 900 will be calling at or close to all of the affected stations. Bank Foot level crossing will be closed all day to pedestrians and road vehicles. Your journey will take longer, so please leave extra travel time.

New Metro timetable

From Sunday 11 April a full Metro timetable will be restored, providing increased train frequencies across the network.
