Improvement Works - Sunday 14 August until about 6.15pm.
No trains will run between Gateshead Stadium and Jarrow or between Gateshead Stadium and South Hylton in either direction on Sunday 14 August until about 6.15pm (the time will vary depending on location and direction of travel). Replacement bus services will be running, bus 900 between Gateshead and Jarrow and bus service 901 between Gateshead and South Hylton.
Trains will be running to all other stations but may not be to the usual timetable. More details are available in the Timetable changes section.
The first train to run from Gateshead Stadium towards Heworth will be 6.07pm, the first train from Jarrow towards Heworth 6.21pm and the first train from South Hylton towards Heworth 6.52pm.

- South Gosforth footbridge temporary closure
On Monday 15 August from 8.00am to 4.30pm, the footbridge at South Gosforth station will be closed so we can install tactile edging. Access between platforms will be possible via the staircase/ramp outside of the ticket area and the main footpath on Station Road.

No trains will run between Pelaw and South Hylton in either direction on Sunday 21 August after about 10.00pm (the time will vary depending on location and direction of travel). To allow Network Rail to carry out maintenance work. The last train from Pelaw towards South Hylton will be 10.13pm and the last train from South Hylton towards Pelaw will be 10.52pm. A replacement bus service, number 901 will be running, calling at or close to all stations Heworth to South Hylton.
