It is a great way to explore a range of different foods as well as helping the environment. Tyne and Wear has plenty of amazing food spots with great options for vegans. Even if you are not completing Veganuary, trying vegan food occasionally is also a great resolution for the new year!

The Sea Change Café located in South Shields has a great vegan breakfast on offer. The breakfast priced at £9.75 is a great value option. The Bombay Cheesa is another option that can be made vegan, priced at £7.95.

Little Piece of Sky is a vegetarian deli and fish and chip shop. It can be found in Heaton. They offer a range of super takeaway options that include some 100% vegan choices including the Super Sandwich which features hummus, carrot, avocado, vegan mayo, superfood pesto on brown bread, priced at just £4.50.
Something extra special about this spot is that on Friday nights the Little Piece of Sky turns into a veggie chippy serving vegan fish and chips as well as other typical chip shop fayre. Opening at 5pm and frying till 8pm.
