No Metro disruptions

 

When we are running a good service the status will show as ‘No Metro disruptions’. Any delays (less than 15 minutes) to service will be announced via the station PA system and passenger information boards. If delays occur resulting in trains running more than 15 minutes later than advertised the status will be updated by an automatic travel alert system.

- Chichester platform 2 closure

Chichester platform 2 will be closed from 4 November until about August 2019, due to signalling constraints in place while building work on the new South Shields interchange takes place.  During the closure, if you’d like to travel from Chichester towards Pelaw, board a train from platform 1, travel to South Shields and remain on the train.  Anyone wishing to leave the train at Chichester after travelling from South Shields should stay on the train to Tyne Dock, change platforms and return to Chichester platform 1.  For help planning your journey call 0191 20 20 747 (lines open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm) or use the Live Travel Map.



 


 

- No trains St James - Tynemouth

All day on Saturday 26 January, no trains will run between St James and Tynemouth to allow for overhead power line renewal work.  During the work a replacement bus service, number 900 will be calling at or close to all stations between St James and Tynemouth.  The last four replacement buses will not arrive at Tynemouth in sufficient time to connect to the last train, therefore these buses will continue to Longbenton.  Replacement bus stop locations and bus timetables are available below.  Your journey will take longer so please leave extra time for travel.  For help planning your journey call 0191 20 20 747 (open Monday - Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm) or use the Live Travel Map.

- No trains Heworth - Jarrow/Brockley Whins

No timetable changes
