Important changes to Metro's Facebook page

A Metro train
20 December 2018

If you’re looking for live updates on Metro or want to contact us on social media you need to follow us on Twitter @My_Metro, visit our website or download the official Metro App.

We want you to get the best – changes to the way Facebook delivers posts to your timeline means it’s no longer a suitable platform for live service updates.  That means messages don’t reach our passengers when they should so, like many Metro systems worldwide, we’re going to find better ways to keep you updated.

We’re still going to use this page for special offers, news about what we’re doing to improve Metro, film, webchats and more.   But from Tuesday, 18 December, this page won’t be continually monitored so it may take us several hours to respond to posts and direct messages on Facebook Messenger.

Our team will instead be focussing more on Twitter so we can provide a quicker and better response to more than 120,000 followers on that channel – we hope you understand and we’ll see you there.
