Tyne and Wear Metro is encouraging families to get out and about during half term, offering a range of special offers to explore the wealth of attractions across the region.

A host of popular North East attractions have teamed up with Metro to offer customers exclusive deals during the week, with everything from free child admission and discounted entry to North East attractions to money off at some of the region’s restaurants.

Families can take advantage of the vast range of options available within a few stops on the Metro to keep children entertained in the school holidays, which take place from Monday 29 May to Friday 2 June.

To make the most of these fantastic savings and offers, all Metro customers have to do is mention the Tyne and Wear Metro discount when booking and show a valid Metro ticket or Pop card, valid for travel on the same day, when you arrive at each of the locations.

Metro Services Director, Chris Carson, said: “Metro provides the ideal way to explore everything Tyne and Wear has to offer this May half term and there really is something for everyone. We are incredibly lucky to live in an area which boasts a range of attractions and eateries and its’s fantastic to be able to team up with them to provide exclusive offers just for Metro customers.”
