Nexus is asking local residents and bus passengers for their views on planned changes to bus services in North Tyneside. Click here to have your say.

The proposed changes include withdrawing services 59/359 and then using the resource saved to provide a new extension to service 51A – which would additionally serve Northumberland Park Interchange, Heritage Green, Backworth Village, Earsdon, West Monkseaton Sainsbury’s, Monkseaton and Whitley Bay.

Service W3 would then be diverted to serve Murton Village.

Head of Bus Services at Nexus, Mike Scott, said: “We review all of the bus services that we provide on a regular basis to ensure that they continue provide good value for money while meeting the needs of the local community.

“Within a recent review of services in North Tyneside, we have identified some potential changes, but before we make a final decision we would first like to know what people think about our plans.”

The consultation will run until Friday 5 April 2019.  For further information please visit www.nexus.org.uk/consultation or phone Nexus Customer Services on 0191 20 20 747.
